THE SECKFORD THEATRE IS A PERFECT CONFERENCE VENUE
Finding a conference venue to accommodate over 300 delegates in Suffolk is not always an easy task, particularly when you want to use the latest technology for your presentations.
The Seckford Theatre in Woodbridge, which opened only a year ago, provides event organisers with a perfect location.
In the centre of the beautifully kept 45 acres of grounds at Woodbridge School, the theatre was designed to seat 350 people in comfort. Added to this, it offers a top of the range lighting and sound system, that you would expect to find in a professional theatre. It also has a versatile staging system, which can be adapted to the needs of each event.
A large reception area is ideal for welcoming and badging delegates and in addition to the main auditorium there are a number of breakout/workshop rooms that can be used in conjunction with the theatre.
There is plenty of further space for exhibitions and a full dining facility in-house means organisers can work with an experienced catering team to develop a meal to match the requirements of the day.
For smaller numbers, there is a science lecture theatre which can be booked to take around 90 people and for an event/conference on a grand scale the Sports Dome will accommodate 1000 people. It is ideal for large-scale meetings and has also been dressed and decorated for themed events such as balls and black tie dinners.
For those companies wanting a smaller meeting or perhaps a new venue for a board meeting, the Seckford Almshouses provides an historic setting with very new facilities. Following a £4.5 million refurbishment and new build programme, the Almshouse building offers the Chapel Lounge where a group of people could meet informally. More formally, the Cloister Room provides a perfect setting for up to 15 people.
